Rain Soaked Week Ahead For Central Us

Rain-Soaked Week Ahead for Central US

Thunderstorms to accompany rain

Flash flooding a concern

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for much of the central United States as a slow-moving storm system is expected to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to the region this week.

The NWS predicts that some areas could see up to 10 inches of rain, with the heaviest rainfall expected in the Ohio Valley and the central Plains. The rain is expected to begin on Tuesday and continue through Thursday.

The NWS warns that the heavy rain could lead to flash flooding, especially in areas that are already saturated from recent rainfall. Residents in low-lying areas are advised to be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
