An update by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike led to a major IT outage on Friday, impacting businesses around the world. CrowdStrike's cybersecurity software is used by numerous Fortune 500 companies including major global banks. Last week, a botched update by CrowdStrike caused a meltdown in computer systems across the globe.
CrowdStrike's Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Kurtz, told NBC News that the firm's mission is to ensure that all of its customers recover. A massive IT systems outage caused by issues with CrowdStrike software affected banks, airports, supermarkets, and other businesses.
Indonesian cybersecurity expert Alfons Tanujaya told the ABC that CrowdStrike's market share in Indonesia is increasing. The company promised to improve its testing process going forward, according to a report.
