Arizona State football a possible landing spot for Florida WR transfer Ricky Pearsall

Pearsall has entered the transfer portal, and many experts believe Arizona State is a top landing spot for the standout wide receiver

Pearsall, a former four-star recruit, had a breakout season for Florida in 2022, catching 50 passes for 619 yards and six touchdowns.

He is a versatile receiver who can line up in the slot or on the outside, and he has good size (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) and speed.

Pearsall would be a major addition for the Sun Devils, who are looking to replace their leading receiver from last season, Bryan Thompson. Pearsall is a proven playmaker who could make an immediate impact in Tempe.

“Pearsall is a big-time talent,” said 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman. “He’s a guy who can make plays all over the field. He’s a great route runner and he has really good hands. He’s also a very physical player who is not afraid to go over the middle.

“I think he would be a great fit for Arizona State. They need a playmaker on the outside, and Pearsall is a guy who can come in and make an immediate impact.” Arizona State is expected to be one of the top contenders in the Pac-12 South this season, and Pearsall would give them a major boost on offense
